The New Layout, Thanksgiving was Fun, You have to watch these movies & Ready for Christmas Already!

Hey Everyone,

I hope every one had an awesome Thanksgiving! Did you go out and do some Black Friday shopping? I didn’t this year but may be next year when I have a real job. Ben and I had a great Thanksgiving. We ate food all day and watched movies….from our Netflix subscription (I love it). I think I have gained 10 lbs from yesterday. Thankfully, I didn’t burn down the house and the turkey turned out perfectly….like I promised here is a picture of it….it doesn’t look like that anymore:

Our Thanksgiving feast consisted of the following: turkey, mash potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn, sweet potatoes, rolls, broccoli casserole, stuffing, pecan pie and apple pie. We cooked a little bit too much food but it is great as leftovers. I think I will be eating leftovers for about a week. It is all nice and neat in tupperware in my refrigerator lol. Cooking all that food was a job too….I am glad I had Ben to help me because I don’t know how I would have done it without him! He has a little inner chef inside him which he would never dare admit….cooking in my job though.

As tradition, on every Thanksgiving Day, Ben and I put up our Christmas tree. We love our little tree. We bought it at the dollar store about five years ago. It is a five foot artificial one. Here’s a picture of it:….ain’t it adorable lol!

So, do you like the new layout? I worked on it today and finally got it done. It is definitely easier on the eyes. I was hoping to make it more navigation friendly. The other layout was too busy and cluttered. I have been dying to change it and thought during my Thanksgiving break would be a perfect time. Overall, I am happy with how it turned out.

Okay, since I have a Netflix subscription and I will be watching movies a lot you are probably going to see me talk about movies more often….especially if they are good ones. I am usually a picky person when it comes to movies. I like suspense thriller type movies. You know those movies that leave you on the edge of your seat and keep you wondering “what is going on” and then at the end of it they finally tie it together and you are like “oh my gosh I didn’t know that was going to happen” types. Here are two movies I must recommend that are like that: The illusionist & Perfect Stranger. I would tell you what they are like but I would give the twists away. Trust me they were awesome!!

I hope every one has a great weekend. Back to school for me on Monday! Until next time!

Thanksgiving Day is Tomorrow, On Break, Netflix, and this Semester is almost over!!

Hey Everyone,

Happy Thanksgiving Day tomorrow to all those people who live in the USA. Oh my, I am excited about tomorrow. I having been waiting all year for it to get here. This is my favorite time of year. Sorry I haven’t posted in like a week. I have been so busy with school…remember crunch time. Last week was busy….I had a test (which I did really well on got a 98 woohoo), had a post-conference presentation, had a clinical exam, and participated in a Health Fair (which was interesting) and all of this was in just one week. The Monday of this week I had a presentation where my group and I had to present for 3 hours to our nursing class. Lets just say I am very happy that thing is over with. I HATE presentations and talking in front of people.

Oh yeah….guess what all you nurse wannabes out there and current nurses. We have been voted, according to Gallup poll (which is a very respected poll), for the seventh year straight by people in America as the most trusting and ethical professions. Here is the article on it: Nurses Voted as the Most Honest and Ethical Profession . Guess who is at the bottom of the list?? Bankers lol. I guess because our country is in a financial bind may be?! I was so excited about it and it is really cool to know that out of all the professions out there people trust nurses the most…that is really saying a lot about nurses.

Any whoo….I have rest of the week off and I don’t go back until Monday. However, this coming up weekend I have 3 projects I have to finish. But next week is my last official week of school and then the next week in finals and bam….it’s over until January 15th. Well, I’ve finally jumped on the bandwagon with the whole Netflix thing and I love it. Ben and I decided to do Netflix as a Christmas present to one another (we decided to do away with the Nintendo Wii). We are doing the deal for $8.99 a month where you get 1 movie at a time (but unlimited for the month) and we get to watch movies online at an unlimited amount. I have already watched five movies online and we rented National Lampoons Christmas Vacation which was so funny. If you haven’t seen it you have to….it’s the best Christmas Comedy.

Tomorrow is the big day….I’m fixing that turkey I got from Krogers. Wish me luck that I don’t burn down the place. I will post pictures of it cooked and let you know how it turned out. Here is a current picture of it: It is currently thawing out lol:

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and don’t eat too much because I know I will!!

Sarah ;-)
