Hey Fred,

Thank you very much for the comment! Oh yes dosage calculations are a doozy...you got to love them. I haven't started this semester back yet....that day comes next week. I am just glad it is my last semester. Wow, I know your busy doing the accelerated program (I couldn't imagine...I am almost dying doing the traditional). Yep, as a nursing student say goodbye to your social life! Good thing I have a blog to keep a somewhat social life lol. Good luck with everything! Glad to see some other RN nursing students out there!

Good Blog. Yeah dosage calculations are a doozy. Its great insight to see how other student s or experienced RN's address dosage calculations and their approach to the solutions. So much info on the net to filter through. There is site out there I recall that has a fast soultion to converting mass and volume by either divding by 1k or multiplying by 1k.

FYI.. studnet RN here at Kaplan College in San Diego-its an accelerated program but manageable, though at the cost of a social life and calling any coffee shop your second home. We, too, are back in the swing of things as the semester begins, and back to being the little monkey on the organ grinder.

Hey Julia,

Thank you very much for your comment! I think these scores are decent but can definitely be improved. I am not sure if they are good enough for me to pass my exit HESI just yet. I am hoping they improve before I take it. I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble passing it. I suggest that you get the books listed above and study them. Also, check to see in Riverside, CA if there are any HESI/NCLEX-RN review classes you can take. I heard they are very good. Here is a link to a website called Kaplan that have review classes for the tests. I have heard they are good but somewhat expensive.

http://www.kaptest.com/nclex Once your on the site, click on the left hand corner "Find Program Near You".

Good luck with everything! Keep me up-dated on how it goes. I wish you much luck and hope you pass!
