Spring Break Over, Orientation Tomorrow, & HESI!

Hey Everyone,

I hope every one is having a super Sunday….what is left of it any ways. Spring Break is officially over for me tomorrow. Reflecting back on Spring Break, it was a nice and relaxing break. I have been sick all week with allergies but finally I took some Zyrtec-D and I feel 100 x better. I got a lot accomplished over the break. I studied for HESI, got fingerprinted for my NCLEX, paid for my background check, filled out my state board application for my nursing license, got my pre-employment physical, got my passport photo made for NCLEX, wrote my clinical contract, 40 hours reflection & 80 hour reflection paper for my practicum, and of course cleaned the apartment (which desperately needed it). So I have to say it was a restful/productive Spring Break.

I’m ready for school to start back so I can get this semester over with but I’m dreading my HESI exam on March 27. I feel positive about it but still nervous. I’m not as nervous as I was about my mid-curricular though. Everyone pray for me and I will also pray for all you HESI takers out there too and you know who you guys are ;-) ….Meira, Leena, Lasha, Kirsten…just to name a few. We are going to pass the first try!!

Tomorrow (which is Monday) I have orientation for my new job (woohoo) the nurse intern position. Later on, probably in May, I will have orientation for my RN position which will be awesome! I also have orientation all day Tuesday and I was suppose to have it Wednesday but I have to make up that day because I have class all day. I’m just excited to be making a little money while I do something I love. Clinicals are great but you don’t get paid for them. So now it will be like I’m doing clinicals but getting paid for them…something I can definitely handle :-) Tomorrow I might after orientation go and pick up my cap and gown…but still deciding on that…it really depend on what time I get out of orientation.

Well I’m off to bed…early day tomorrow!I hope every one has an awesome week and I will keep you up-dated on how orientation goes!

Until next time,

Sarah ;-)
