It was BEAUTIFUL Yesterday….went to the Covered Bridge…Some Pics & Amatuer Video LOL

Hey Everyone,

Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day so Ben and I decided to go to the covered bridge in Elizabethton (TN). It was fun to get out of the apartment and get some fresh air. It was very warm outside and sunny (a little too hot actually, and poor Ben had a hives reaction
). I brung my digital camera hoping to get some interesting pictures of animals. One time we went we seen all of these water moccasin snakes and I wish I had my camera but didn’t and another time we seen this wild looking “mud puppy”. It looks like a huge lizard and it lives in the mud…lol get it…mud puppy.  So this time I was prepared by bringing the camera.

I took a loaf of bread and fed the geese and ducks. I love feeding the ducks :-) Then while we were walking down the bank of the river we seen this lime green garter snake swimming in the water to shore. It was neat and scary. I don’t do snake or spiders but they are fun to look at.

Here are some pictures and very amateur video….it’s not good quality because silly me keeps moving the camera….but as time progresses I will get better at this video taking stuff. I think I’m going to try (especially this summer during my Dollywood trip…so excited) to incorporate more videos into my blog posts.  I think video will help you all feel more connect with me and my life so I’m will try to move towards it. May be one day I will get brave and talk on camera but I’m still debating on that one lol….I’m video shy.

The first video is of the river at the covered bridge and it’s waterfall but be sure your sound isn’t too loud for this one because it is loud due to the rushing water. The second video is of a frog making a cool rip-it noise so be sure your volume is on for that one.

Here is are some pictures from my day:

Well I hope everyone has a great day. I plan on resting today and may be I will work on my take home final but I’m still debating. I am so lazy about school now. I really am burnt out with it. I have to make myself do assignments and it is hard to concentrate while doing them. I have a busy week next week but I’m looking forward to May 2nd because my Mom and I are going shopping for my graduation party. It is going to be Luau themed…hehe.

Until next time,

Sarah ;-)

Christmas was Great..here’s some Pics, Great Holiday After Deals, and 2008 is almost over!

Hey Everyone,

I hope every one of you had an awesome Christmas holiday. I can’t believe Christmas is already over…wow. It is so funny because so much time is spent preparing for the big day (cooking, shopping, gift wrapping….etc) and then it is all over in a matter of hours. However, the time spent preparing is what actually makes Christmas so much fun. I love cooking and wrapping gifts. So tell me how was your Christmas?? I would love to know :-)

Here is how my Christmas went: Wednesday, which was Christmas Eve, I got up at 8:30 am and Ben and I got ready because we had to get early over to my grandparents where we arrived at about 1030 am. I went there first to give them their Christmas presents and Ben had to put new a RAM upgrade in the computer (which I got them for Christmas). Their computer was slow and it was due to not having enough RAM (which is what makes your computer faster). My mammaw loves playing those computer games lol! Then we left and went to Ben’s family to eat and socialize. I had a great time…his mom is an awesome cook. Then we left around 5:00 pm to go to my families where we had the Mexican themed Christmas dinner and boy wasn’t it AWESOME. My mom really out did herself on her enchiladas. Ben and I got home around 1000pm that night and we were so tired. We literally brushed our teeth and passed out on the bed. Going to two families in the same day to celebrate Christmas wears you out! However, at least our parents live in the same neighborhood…isn’t that neat! That is all another story and it includes how we met.

Then Thursday, which was Christmas Day, Ben and I decided to just lay around, eat, and watch movies. We cooked our HUGE 25 lb turkey. We decided to invite Ben’s mom over to eat because we had enough food. So she came over and ate with us with was very nice. I like being able to cook for other people! I would have invited every one else in our families but they were doing their own thing or had to work. Like I promised here are some Christmas pictures….sorry they aren’t too good. I had my nephew take them but he wasn’t at an angle and was too far away lol.

My 25 lb turkey!

My nephew’s awesome picture taking skills…lol me opening gifts at Mom’s

Me…I’m sorry but I couldn’t resist adding the Santa Hat HAHA even though it might look funny!

My Mom’s Christmas Tree hehe small but it works…it’s fiber optic!

Today I was surprised….my mother-in-law and sister-in-law came by our apartment and gave us some gifts lol….they called them early birthday gifts lol. They had been shopping all day to get the after Christmas specials and they racked up. They bought Ben a really nice pair of Nike tennis shoes that were regular $70 for only $10 at Rugged Warehouse….wow is was an amazing deal. They bought me this beautiful Aeropastle shirt that I love for a great deal. They are so sweet and very thoughtful! Did anyone else get any after Christmas deals too??

Well 2008 is almost over. I can’t wait for 2009 because it is going to be a year of change for Ben and I. I think 2009 is going to be a great year, especially for all of us nursing students graduating in May of 09′…WOOT WOOT. Tomorrow it is going to be 68′F and I am going out to play in the sun….68′F is weird for us here but hey I will take it. I hope every one has a great night!

Until next time,

Sarah ;-)
